I miss you means that someone played an unforgettable role in your life.
I miss you means that you’re changed forever. Their appearance could have been short, or it could have spanned for years. The important thing is- you miss them.
You miss how they made you feel. You miss the kind gestures that they may have shown you. You miss how they were there for you when it felt like no one else was.
You miss how hard they were on you. Not because they hated you, but because they believed in your ability. They told you how it was, and how it could be. You just had to get up, and go get it.
You miss the stillness of night when you laid crying from sadness and frustration. Their hand laid gently on your back, and their whispers of “you’ll get through this,” echo through your ears.
You miss running into them. You miss the embarrassing look they gave you because it was too awkward to make conversation. You miss their dorky smile and clumsiness.
You sit at the end of the bed, and look where they once laid. You miss waking up to their smile and morning breath. You miss their grumpiness in the morning and you would take it back in a heartbeat-or not. But you still miss it.
You miss their wisdom. You miss the “back in my day” stories. No one had to walk uphill to school both ways as much as they did. You miss their hand slapping their thigh as they believed they just told the greatest joke to mankind.
You miss their smell. You miss their smile. You miss their touch. You miss how beautiful their mind is/was.
Missing someone who is still with us on Earth, or not, is a feeling that I assume everyone has felt at least once.
People walk into our lives at the moment they should or shouldn’t. They teach us valuable lessons that are miss-able moments.
Remember to hold those miss-able people close to your heart, and remember that they made an impact on who you are.
Miss them. Feel their presence. Remember how they made you feel. Smile because it happened. Smile, because they came into your life.
