Use Your Voice

People are scared of people who are empowered. They are even more scared of people who are not afraid of using their empowerment to better the world around them.

Your voice is a powerful tool. The words you say and how you say them can leave impacts. As a blogger, I write to help other people. In a way, it is self-soothing to myself. But, I don’t have the intention of writing to only make myself feel good or better about myself.

I write, because I have stories that need to be shared. Stories are my way of connecting to the outside world around me. If I withheld my purpose of being an Author and Blogger, I would be doing a disservice to not only myself as a creative- but to the one person that could potentially benefit from my most powerful tool- my voice.

We are all story-tellers in our own ways. We share our thoughts and feelings in order to fill that void of some sort. Or- to release an idea that intersects with one who needs to hear it.

Some do share their voice with only intent to harm others. They make it about themselves and fail to see the larger message.

I recently saw a short clip of a mother and daughter practicing positive affirmations together. That reminded me that I too- need to remember to validate myself daily.

Sometimes, we feel heavy. But, with practice, one can put themselves on a path of betterment. Below are affirmations that you are welcome to take and tell yourself daily. Remember that becoming more empowered and using your voice takes time and courage to do so- takes time too. Find the positive in your life and own it. No one can take that.

  1. I am worthy enough
  2. I am intelligent enough
  3. My goals are my focus
  4. People will sometimes hate on me, or what I am doing
  5. I will let other’s false opinions of me not affect me
  6. I will allow myself to process my feelings and understand that this process is normal
  7. I will and can conquer my dreams if I am determined enough
  8. I will laugh off other’s hatred towards me
  9. I will be the best version of myself
  10. I will be sincere to myself
  11. I will be a better version of myself than yesterday
  12. I will achieve my goal
  13. I will value what I have in life
  14. I will allow myself to cry when my heart or mind feels heavy
  15. I will continue to be the bad a** I am

Be the light, even if others attempt to dim it. Your voice matters.
