Struggling with Success

What is your version of a successful you? Do you envision yourself being a household name, or someone that is more behind the scenes?

Are you happy at a 9-5 or do you want something that is less of the norm?

Struggling with success isn’t a negative. If someone has multiple visions in their head they are trying to execute- that’s where the struggle is.

Choosing what you want to focus on. It sounds so easy, yet is such a daunting task. I, myself find my mind swirling with many ideas I want to accomplish.

How do we pick and choose? Simple. Act. Act on what you are trying to accomplish. I’m making it sound as simple as can be- but nothing great or satisfying comes when you aren’t at least trying.

The struggle is real. Acknowledge that. Don’t only be a talker. Be a doer. Yes, shooting yourself forwards in any new capacity is scary.as.f***. Don’t discredit that. But do know, you have to turn the light switch on in the dark to see. So, turn your mind on to start seeing and believing in the ideas dancing in your head.

With anything worthwhile, comes work. We’ve heard that ever since we joined the workforce. Or, it was your parents/guardians way of trying to get you to rake the leaves. Either way, the saying has a point.

That point is: you are your biggest obstacle. I personally remind myself on the daily that if I want to continue writing more books, I need to set realistic, but disciplined goals. You have to level with yourself. If you don’t, you’re only a talker. Plain and simple.

Go out there and be courageous with your dreams and ambition. Know that even if something doesn’t go your way automatically, you tried.

You rose up to the challenge of learning to struggle with your success. Struggling shows you are trying, it’s not an end all.
