Cherish the Journey

It is annoying to wait. It is annoying to have to use patience.

I think it is easy for old patterns to leak into the new processes that one is trying to set in their life. When something is going smooth and well, that feeling of wanting to rush something makes its debut.

That feeling pops up and tries to reintroduce the anxieties you have felt in situations before it. When in reality, the process does not need to be rushed.

I am a solution-oriented person. I need to see results. I need to see action for myself to be content with something.

Blessing and a curse.

It has been really fun making myself uncomfortable. Parts of my past became so stagnant at times that the little ‘let’s get this done,’ voice was driven crazy. It is easy to try and rush things along that seemed to take forever in the past.

A voice reminds, “Remember the results from this situation? Yeah, let’s get this sped up to avoid that.” There is one key thing to remember though- the differences.

The differences remind us and provide clarity that not every situation is the same. Just because something happened one way, does not mean that a new path in your life will go the same way.

It is easy to want to rush things along. Patience and cherishing the journeys we experience in life are important.

Stop and smell the roses. Still make progress moving forward, but it never hurts to take a moment to breathe and be thankful for the journey you are on, or one that you soon find yourself walking.
